The Bon Vivant Luncheon : A Celebration of Strength and community,Hosted by the Guest List Agency

On October 19th, 2024, an incredible event hosted by The Guest List Agency at La Parada, Melrose Arch. This event, titled The Bon Vivant Luncheon: The Pink Edition, was not just another social gathering but an inspiring movement focused on raising awareness for breast cancer. With the theme of pink and white chic, everyone came together for a cause bigger than themselves, and the energy in the room was simply contagious.

A Heartfelt Welcome

From the moment we arrived, the vibes were already set, thanks to our warm hosts, Jade Campbell the founder of The Guest List Agency , former plus size male model and Creative Director of Campbell , who is known for having the key figure in South Africa’s fashion and social scenes for over a decade. Known for his authenticity, passion and purpose over popularity, using his platform to inspire self-confidence.

With his business partner  Llewellyn Devereaux, also known as Master Lui, is a visionary and global business speaker, known for his expertise in economics, innovation, and strategy. He is the founder and CEO of The Genie Group and has created the world’s first premium anti-hangover shooter, Lohocla.

They brought such positive energy to the event, ensuring that each guest felt welcome and appreciated. As a beautiful touch, we were greeted with complimentary glasses of Pongrácz Champagne served by Monica and Emihle , setting the tone for the elegant day ahead. The venue, La Parada, was beautifully decorated, with backdrops set up by Patrick and a layout that showed sophistication, making it clear that this was no ordinary luncheon.

 A Gathering for a Purpose

What made this event so special was the cause behind it raising awareness for breast cancer. The theme of pink wasn’t just a fashion choice; it was a symbol of solidarity with those affected by the disease. The guests strictly stuck  to the dress code, making it easy to see  those attending the event from the usual crowd at La Parada. The sense of unity was amazing as we all stood together, not just as individuals but as a community committed to fighting breast cancer.

 Inclusion and Connection

One of the most beautiful aspects of the luncheon was its openness. Even if you hadn’t received an invite, you could still participate. If you happened to be at La Parada, you were offered a glass of champagne and invited to join the movement. This gesture highlighted the purpose of the event, where everyone was welcome to take part in the fight against breast cancer, no matter who they were.

Networking and Amazing Vibes

Beyond the cause, the event was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with people. The room was filled with entrepreneurs, brand owners, and professionals, each eager to network and share their stories. Some of the notable attendees was the owner of CasaLea the beautyful and talented Lea also known as Lealicious, , yes you read right , the luxurious Casalea Day Spa in Northcliff.A French inspired oasis with modern touches, offering a world class treatment menu. At the event, she showcased her luxurious bath soaps, salts, and spa products, which were absolutely sensational.

Also the one and only Alessandrio Bergman , founder of SYNC Model Management , is a South African entrepreneur who was named to the Forbes Africa 30 list in 2023 for building one of the country’s top modeling agencies through his resilience, hardwork and unique vision . Along with Monrare Matema  who is  an associate brand architect at DNA Brand Architects recently recognized as a Young Judge at the prestigious Prism Awards .

These two definitely brought vibrant energy to the event. The conversations flowed effortlessly, and the connections made were priceless.

An Atmosphere of Togetherness

The luncheon wasn’t about who had the biggest social media presence or the most influence. It was about the cause, plain and simple. Whether someone had a large following or none at all, it didn’t matter. We were all there to support breast cancer awareness and spread the word. The staff at La Parada were amazing, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and that everyone was taken care of.

In the end, The Bon Vivant Luncheon: The Pink Edition was much more than just an event it was a movement. It brought people together from all walks of life for an incredibly important cause. The fight against breast cancer continues but this event reminded us that with community, love, and support, we can make a difference, one glass of champagne at a time.

A Special thank you to Paul Mukwevho Photography for these beautiful images and The Guest list Agency for hosting this special event.

Let’s continue the movement!
